Electrical inspections, EICRs and remedial works

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) assesses the condition of a property's fixed electrical installation. We provide inspections, explain the findings and coordinate any necessary remedial works, alongside electrical repairs and installation upgrades.

For homeowners

Electrical fault diagnosis, repairs and planned improvements, including lighting, sockets and consumer units. Recommendations are based on the condition and requirements of your installation.

For landlords and property teams

Private landlords in England must arrange inspection and testing at least every five years, or sooner where specified. We can undertake the inspection and provide a quotation for required remedial works.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How often does a rental property need an EICR?

In England, private landlords must have the electrical installation inspected and tested at least every five years, or sooner if the previous report recommends it.

What do C1, C2 and FI mean?

C1 means danger present, C2 means potentially dangerous, and FI means further investigation is needed. Any of these makes the report unsatisfactory until resolved. C3 is a recommendation only.

Can you complete remedial works identified in an existing report?

We can review our own reports or an EICR prepared by another contractor, provide a quotation for the required works and issue appropriate written confirmation on completion.

Will the power be interrupted during testing?

Power interruptions are necessary, and their duration depends on the installation and access. Please advise us of any essential equipment so the expected disruption can be discussed before attendance.
